10/06/2018 - Murrah Hall, Murrah
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The New Savages are a unique blues band. The sound is the combination of Jim Morrison singing in an electrified delta blues duo from the 1930’s, with a dash of country influence from Johnny Cash. They’ll be finishing off their 50 date national tour with a show at Murrah Hall on Sunday, June 10th.
Tickets are $16 online or $20 at the gate.
Children are free.
They call this style of music that they play Melbourne Hill Country Blues – as it’s their distinctly Melbournian take on the droning, rhythmic and hypnotic sound of the Mississippi Hill Country that their music comes from.
This is the final date on their 50 date national tour in support of their new single “Brother, I am Your Keeper”. After this show lead singer Milan will go on a musical pilgrimage to the American Deep South to find the true soul of the Mississippi.
