Time for a Sunday Session at Tomerong Hall!

After their first year of existence Benji and the SSS are ready to crank out some serious tuneage! Here’s what they’re up to:

they have just finished recording their debut EP, with release due in the next couple of weeks.
Over the next few months the band will be playing some select intimate shows. The goal of these shows is primarily to have a blast, but the band will also be shaking off any rust and polishing their new tunes up for recording. Their new EP is planned to be released early next year!!!

Benji and the Saltwater Sound System draws upon Benji’s recent immersion in islander flavours fused with the reggae and African roots of its members past musical projects to create hypnotic soundscapes underpinned by painfully catchy melodies. Add to this the beautifully poignant lyrics that Benji has become known for and you can’t help but expect something special from this new line-up.

The artists in Benji and the Saltwater Sound System have had the honor of playing at a number of acclaimed festivals, venues and events. These include Woodford this year, the National Folk Festival (the band is booked for this year’s festival), Corinbank, the Dreaming Festival, Summer Rhythm, Sydney Blues Festival, and Illawarra Folk Festival just to name a few.
