This summer, The Jervis Bay Maritime Museum proudly presents Essential Theatre’s performance of Shakespeare’s magical comedy – A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The cast of 8 professional actors will take you on a spell binding ride, as the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum grounds are transformed into the magical land of Athens.

On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites play and fairies rule. While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their bumbling mates presenting a play within a play.
Leading mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most wondrous comedy.

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream has been loved for over four hundred years and continues to weave it’s spells world wide.

Bring a picnic rug and friends for an outdoor, midsummer theatre treat.

Doors open at 6pm, performance start time 7pm. 2 Acts of 55 mins, 20 minute interval.

Please note, this is an outdoor performance.
In the event of wet weather, the performance will take place at Vincentia High School.
