Join Australian author Kate Forsyth for a one-day writing workshop in Nowra. Kate is the internationally bestselling and award-winning author of almost forty books, ranging from picture books to poetry to novels for both children and adults. She was recently voted one of Australia’s Favourite 15 Novelists, and has been called “quite possibly … one of the best story tellers of our modern age.’

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 19 starting at 9.45am and finishing at 3.30pm at the Shoalhaven Library meeting room.
Places are limited to 15. The workshop is suitable for writers of all genres and skill levels who desire to learn more about the art and craft of writing.

Kate Forsyth wrote her first novel at the age of seven, and is now the internationally bestselling & award-winning author of almost forty books over a range of genres.
Her most recent book for adults is a historical novel called ‘The Beast’s Garden’ which retells the Grimm brothers’ version of ‘Beauty & the Beast’, set in the German underground resistance to Hitler in World War II.
She is best known for her historical novel Bitter Greens, which interweaves a retelling of the Rapunzel fairy tale with the true life story of the woman who first told the tale, the 17th century French writer Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force.
In this workshop discover the secret of writing stories that enchant the reader, opening a magical gateway so that they can escape to other worlds and other times. Master the tools of the craft so that you can weave a spell that will hold the reader captive till the last page is turned. Learn how to add that elusive touch to your writing so that it shines like a beacon. Spend a day with Kate Forsyth and she promises you will be stimulated, motivated and inspired with new ideas, techniques, and solutions to help you write that novel you’ve always dreamed of.
