Jillian O’Dowd and Sarah Butler in The Turn of the Screw, a play based on the gothic novella by Henry James and adapted for the stage by Jeffrey Hatcher.
The Turn of the Screw is darkly funny, surprising and spooky. The story by Henry James first appeared in serial format in Collier’s Weekly magazine in London in 1898. The nail-biting tale, with all its gothic trappings, was adapted for the stage by Jeffrey Hatcher in 1996, and has also inspired novels, an opera and several films.
This production is sure to delight audiences, with its ghostly theatricality, unusual staging and a very real picnic!
Tickets include refreshments. The show runs for 90 minutes with an interval.
Not recommended for children under 10: supernatural themes.
Donations will be collected at the shows for the Kangaroo Valley Bushfire Relief.
