Sweet Beats n Blues returns home to The Cambewarra Hall, featuring The Chocolate Dogs launching their new album ‘Back into the Zone’. This rocking bluesy Sunday arvo celebrates live original Australian tunes with special guest artists Frank Sultana and Kaito Morgan.

The CD’s were formed in August 2013 in the South Coast of NSW. The members in their time have shared the stage with Icehouse, Paul Kelly, The Warumpi Band, Weddings Parties Anything, Pseudo Echo, Chrissy Amphlett, Peter Garrett and many more.

Stylistically The Chocolate Dogs draw influences from rock, blues, alt-country and rockabilly, with a touch of the psychedelic. Their original music often embraces a wry humour inside a soulful celebration of life. Check out the links to their albums and video clips to see and hear for yourself. Their last album ‘Barking Up The Wrong Tree’ sold out at venues/festivals and received airplay.

Featuring a powerful lead vocal/virtuosic guitar from songwriter Baxter Stone, warm groove/tunes from bass player Adrian Morgan and stunning harmonies from drummer/singer Jillian O’Dowd; “The Dogs” are an original three piece with a huge sound.

Kaito Morgan welcomes us into the afternoon as an exciting young performer from Nowra impressing us once more with his skills on guitar and joins The CD’s later in the arvo as guest bass player in a couple of new album songs.

Legendary Australian bluesman Frank Sultana follows Kaito. Frank swaggered into 2021 with his new single ‘Blue Skies Down’ and has returned from his extensive east coast cities and regional tour. He’s showcasing songs from his new album ‘Tales of Modern Sorrow’, as well as grooving his back catalogue recorded over the last decade. In his time, Frank’s shared the stage with Aussie greats such as Diesel, Ian Moss and James Reyne.

Tickets are limited due to current venue capacity, so do yourself a favour and book early to ensure you get to experience this creative community hall crawl, celebrating original south coast music…you’d be Barking not to!
