Still Life Painting Workshop

Event Details

Dianne Bradley is a local painter from Jervis Bay and she will teach you how to paint a simple still life canvas.

You will get to choose from a selection of seashells and you can bring an A4 photo of a landscape or object of your choice. The simpler the better for this first go! Feel free to email us with your ideas for feedback.

Dianne won a scholarship to the National Art School of Sydney and graduated with distinctions. She then went on to illustrate in magazines as well as in book publishing whilst being a graphic designer on many national magazines. Dianne rediscovered painting with acrylics when she made the sea change to the South Coast. How inspiring!

Dianne will show you how to first sketch your still life and you will then get to bring it to life with acrylic paints. She will describe the medium, its pros and cons and provide a guide to colour selection as well as a list of supplies so you can go home and replicate this again!

You will go home with a completed 30cm x 30cm deep canvas.

Together with afternoon tea, you can be guaranteed a lovely creative afternoon where you will complete an artwork and leave with skills you can use forever!

This workshop takes place in the gorgeous Sunroom at the Bay & Bush Cottages in Woollamia, an idyllic and quintessentially Australian bush retreat.
