Join us at Husky Pics Cinema on Saturday 9th April 2022 for a special screening of The Dressmaker.

A bittersweet comedy-drama set in 1950’s Australia. Tilly Dunnage (Kate Winslet), a beautiful and talented misfit, after many years working as a dressmaker in exclusive Parisian fashion houses returns home to Dungatar, a middle-of-nowhere small town in rural Australia. Not only does she reconcile with her ailing, eccentric mother (Judy Davis) and unexpectedly falls in love with the pure-hearted Teddy (Liam Hemsworth), armed with her sewing machine and haute couture style, she transforms the women and exacts sweet revenge on those who did her wrong.
Profits made from this event will go to the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum to help bring more great exhibitions, such as The Dressmaker to the community. The Dressmaker Costume Exhibition is on show at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum until 8th May 2022.
