Event Details
Currents is an all ages live music event and this year will incorporate a song writing competition for local high school students. Musicians nominated to represent their school are asked to write their own original song and perform live on stage at the event. The winning artists are given the opportunity to have their song professionally recorded in a music studio and runners up take home a cash prize.
On the night there will be four hours of big acts and live music. Competing bands will battle for victory performing twenty minute live sets, followed by local supporting acts ‘Potent Soap’ and ‘Pretty People’. Four piece Wollongong punk rock band ‘Mild Manic’ are this year’s headline act and return to Moruya after their sold out performance at the ‘No Worries Festival’ in 2017.
Free transport to Moruya RSL Hall will be available with buses running from Narooma and Batemans Bay. Details and bus timetable will be made available closer to the date.
