05/03/2018 - 12/03/2018
4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
This is a four week Drawing workshop occurring on a weekly basis. These experiences are run in small groups (up to six students) running for individuals 10+ (also sessions for 5 – 10 years old – see other listing on SCT to book). Participants will engage in active drawing experiences where practical strategies will be introduced, discussed and developed with the ultimate outcome of assisting participants to create and realise their own ideas and concepts, have an increased knowledge of drawing and planning skills that suit their individual creative vision.
The classes occur and progress over the next 2 weeks every Monday from 4.30 – 6.00 pm. By the completion of the Workshops, participants will have an enhanced understanding their own creative process, artistic techniques and most importantly be able to express their creativity and imagination in ways that are meaningful to them. To help participants engage with the workshops and the creative process in general we have four primary outcomes that act as a guide and reference for the facilitator and participants over the course of the workshop experience:
Drawing materials are provided as well as Art books and visual reference materials.
Outcome 1: for participants to work toward a greater understanding of drawing techniques as it relates to their individual individual characters development process.
Outcome 2: for participants to engage with examples of appropriate published story telling, comics or visual narratives, and different visual art styles as presented by the artist / facilitator as examples of successful or unique creative thinking.
Outcome 3: for participants to extend or initiate the development of their own characters / concepts / ideas through an active dialogue.
Outcome 4: for participants to progress toward viable character, concepts and ideas and have an increased knowledge of drawing, planning and scripting skills that suit their individual creative vision.
