Come learn how to pour acrylic paints and create two gorgeous artworks with South Coast Artist Karen Wickham from Free In Spirit Creative!
In this comprehensive beginner workshop, Karen will demonstrate three different techniques including the ‘dirty pour’, ‘flip cups’ and the ‘puddle pour’. She will explain the type of paints you can use, how to choose colours that complement each other, how to mix your recipe to avoid lumps, how to avoid overstretching your painting and losing effects….along with her secret recipe for achieving beautiful and sometimes elusive cells. She will share all her tips from how to store your painting to varnishing it and a bunch of other artist tricks so you can replicate this at home after the class!
You will of course get to practice what you learned by choosing your colours from a wide variety to produce two 20cm X 20xm canvasses
This class is suitable for absolute beginners – no experience is required. You don’t need to be able to draw or paint in order to learn how to pour!
