“A True Artist” – Paco Pena

“Matthew has the talent comparable to John Williams and diversifies with improvisation like a true gypsy”- Melbourne Guitar Festival

“Melbourne’s Matthew Fagan … proves it here with fascinating diversity of influences – Celtic of course, but also flamenco, classical and, perhaps, Australian … his own compositions shimmer with warmth and intelligence.” Pete Best, Sunday Herald Sun

Matthew Fagan is a guitarist blessed with great charisma. Everything he does on the instrument draws you into his world. He is a virtuoso player—…Particularly in his arrangements of Spanish and Irish material, there is a fullness and idiomatic quality to the workmanship that indicate superior musicianship.  This is the sort of guitar [performance] that touches the sensibilities even of listeners to whom classical music is a quite alien experience.  The playing is magnetic, and the repertoire is invigorating. Highly recommended. Dave Saemann- Fanfare Magazine
